Job Description

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to the Estate Manager in managing a plantation estate comprising oil palm and durian according to standards set by the Company.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct intensive field visits and supervision to ensure the proper implementation of replanting, harvesting, maintenance, fertilizing, weeding and other field activities to achieve optimum yield of high-quality crops through industry best practices.
  • Improve on Gali Estate personnel management and provide guidance on the control of equipment, stock and purchasing.
  • Ensure the estate comply with all laws, safety requirement and local authorities’ rules.
  • Comply with all the visit reports and guidelines from the SOP.
  • Ensure all FFB are harvested clean e.g no unripe fruits are harvested and all loose fruits are collected promptly, no pilferage or wastage.
  • Ensure FFB are transported to ramp daily and delivered to the appointed mill promptly.
  • Lead, supervise, train and assess team members in achieving optimum productivity and work quality.
  • Assist Estate Manager with annual budget preparation and monthly progress report.
  • Ensure operational efficiency of estates. Attend muster at 6.30 am and to conduct daily field checks.
  • Attend to any other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree in Plantation Management/ Agriculture or equivalent relevant qualification/ experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in plantation or estate management

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

Good in preparing paperwork and experienced in reporting to Management i.e monthly progress report, proposals, annual budget forecast, etc

Good project management skills

High integrity, positive attitude, mission driven and self-directed
